Cleanings and Complete Checkups

Professional Teeth Cleaning

Visiting a dentist every six months for a thorough checkup and cleaning is perhaps the most important step you can take in maintaining a beautiful smile. The process involves a thorough dental cleaning to remove plaque and tartar buildup.

Each cleaning and complete checkup may be different depending on your specific dental needs. But you can still expect many of the same things during a checkup and cleaning. Below are some of the steps you can expect from every checkup and cleaning at our office.

Oral Cancer Screening

Oral cancer is a devastating diagnosis for many people because it is usually only detected in advanced stages when it has likely spread to other parts of the body. As a result, the 5-year survival rate is as low as 30%.

It is important to be aware of the early warning signs of oral cancer, as pain is not usually an early symptom. Symptoms associated with oral cancer include:

  • Small red or white lesions in the mouth, lips or tongue
  • Ulcers that do not heal
  • Difficulty chewing, swallowing or speaking
  • Persistent earaches
  • Numb areas in your mouth or on your face

We provide the most comprehensive oral cancer screening by examining the soft and hard tissues. Even if you have lost all of your natural teeth, you should still visit our practice for a regular oral exam to check for signs of oral cancer or other oral health issues. This allows time for early intervention treatment, and if oral cancer is present, these appointments could save your life.

Low Radiation Digital X-rays

We use digital X-rays with low radiations might show cavities, hidden dental structures (such as wisdom teeth), and bone loss that cannot be seen during a visual examination.

DIAGNOdent

We use DIAGNOdent - the latest technology to detect tooth decay. Locating hidden decay before it destroys tooth structure (from the inside out) is a major goal for modern dentistry. The DIAGNOdent allows the dentist to locate hidden decay, and with treatment stop the spread of disease before it destroys the tooth from within. This new technology is completely safe and pain-free.

We advise you to book an appointment for a complete dental check-up today so that our dentist can analyze your teeth and mouth condition and take the required action to ensure you have healthy oral health.

Our Happy Customers

"As excruciating as going to the dentist is, I always look forward to my visits here. Dr. Gregory has been my dentist for a few years now and he is absolutely amazing at what he does. Linda, his sister, who manages the office is awesome and accommodating. Highly recommended!"

Yalile

"Dr. Gregory is truly the best. He (and his office manager / sister Linda) are very pleasant to work with, but most importantly, he is extremely thoughtful and someone who I trust completely in a field in which that can be very hard to find. I never feel that he is trying to "up-sell" some procedure that is unnecessary, and in fact on several occasions has recommended against certain cosmetic procedures that others had recommended. He really is a trusted "dental consultant" (if that makes sense?)- and always willing to offer his time when needed. Don't hesitate to go to him!"

Kevin

"I've been going to Dr Gregory for ten years and he's still the best in his field . I left for a year due to insurance changes and was miserable. The office is super clean . Linda is fantastic ."
